RIP Cat Balls

Yesterday I took our cat Barney to get his manparts removed at the Humane Alliance here in Asheville.   In the weeks leading up to Barney's sterilization, we've been celebrating the last weeks of Barney's fuzzy little grapes.

Last weekend Billy and I got bored after the kids were in bed and decided to torture play with the cats.   Now please don't judge us. We spoil these cats to an embarrassing degree.  But, like anyone who encounters cats, it's fun to mess with the little jerks.  My mom brought her baked potato sized dog, Coco, for the weekend and Coco has these designer jackets.  If that weren't mind blowing enough as it is, they were the perfect size for Cat 1 and Cat 2.

Funny thing is when you put a jacket on a cat, they both have identical reactions:  on back, paws in the air. They both attempted to walk, then slumped to the right and went on their backs with paws waving.  Reminiscent of my kids when I bundle them up to go in the snow.  Also, turtles.

"Hey, have you ever put tape on a cat's feet?" Billy says from the kitchen, already getting tape.

Did you know cats can moonwalk?

Barney had the tape removed immediately after and attacked my feet for the remainder of the night.    Don't feel too bad for him.  But feel bad for his balls.

  1. Heh...back when I had my Claude, my then 12-year-old stepdaughter (who is now 27 with a son of her own), said his snipped balls (well, there were no balls there any more) looked like little blueberries.

Next time try putting a sock on his face...

    1. I have heard of the sock on the face. I'm so tempted to try. I can hear PEETA coming after me....
